Dog doesn't wanna eat his food? Try Iams Roasted Beef Gravy
Edited on Sun Aug-21-05 04:02 PM by xultar
squirt stuff. I know about Iams and their issues but I was struggling!
I couldn't get my dogs to eat their food. Their coats were shedding. I had to get them back on their avo derm. I was trying the Science Diet oral care as a treat and they went from eating it as a treat to eating it as a meal. Well there are lots of fillers in Science Diet and they were pooping up a STORM! OMG they were little poop-machines

My last hope was trying the Iams roasted beef gravy stuff.

IT WORKED!

My kids are now eating their Avo Derm and hopefully I can get their coats back in shape in the next 2 months. Plus with less fillers their poop will be more compact and they use more of the food as nutrition.

So if you have a picky dog or a dog you are trying to get back on dry food. Give the Iams doggie gravy stuff a try. A big bonus is that unlike other doggie gravies no refrigeration required after opening!

1. IAM's used to
use an herbicide as a preservative in their dry food (ethothocin or some such) and Purina still uses it in their meat patties. I think it contributed to my dog's eplilepsy. She is dead now. And also PETA has had issues with their experimentation on dogs (this is after the family business was bought out by a bigger player).
For my pets, I get organic pet food when I can't cook for them.

3. My dogs eat Breeders Choice Avo Derm IT is a good food. I'm using
the gravy to get them back on to their food - Avo Derm. I have never had my dogs on Iams.

I was in a bind and I needed to get my dogs back on Breeders Choice. I tried the other gravies but they didn't work as well as the Iams did today. My pups are actually eating the food.

THANK GOD. I don't plan to keep them on the gravy for ever. I just need them to start eating the food again.

2. I buy Diamond food
at my local pet store and my dog loves it. Found out about it from a groomer who raises show dogs. Supposedly all the good things and noe of the bad in it. He really likes it.

5. I will check that out. My pups really liked their Breeders Choice until
I screwed up with the science diet. I will say this. The science Diet oral care did great for their teeth and breath.
