Who is watching the six feet under finale |
|
Are you six feet under fans ready for the finale tonight? I'm kind of sad the show is ending but I cannot wait to see how it ends.

Just kidding.
I've heard the last 15 minutes are pretty "special", whatever that cryptic designation means....

4. I can't see how it can all be 'wrapped up' in 75 minutes... |
|
...there are going to be a whole lot of loose ends left behind, to be sure. Much like Real Life.
Gonna miss that show.

I'll watch it "on demand" later this week.
But, frankly, I'll be glad to see it go. It's gotten tedious, with everyone turning into a flaming drama queen. Ruth's a shrew without a clue, David and his hallucinations are equally tiresome, Claire's bratty acting-out was a drag even before Nate died, and the brother-sister thing is nothng but sensationalism, playing to the ratings.
Great show, but I think it went on one season too long. Think The Sopranos will make that same mistake?

The characters that really get to me are Claire, Ruth and David. I mean those crazy hallucinations with David get tiresome.
Sorry to say I'm not a Soprano fan. Maybe now that SFU is ending I will catch up with the Soprano's on DVD. I'm waiting for the L word and Huff to start their second seasons. I think Huff is going to be a good show. The L word so far is great but IMO it hasn't beat Queer as Folk.

13. Watch The Sopranos from the beginning |
|
I did that last year - watched them all, all - what? - five seasons? (I'm too lazy to go look and count the boxes.) It was a real adventure in remarkable writing, character development, and storytelling. Yeah, it did get strained, but I think that happens wheneven the focus is taken off the main - and strongest, most interesting - characters.
I loved The L Word in the first season, but the second season just got all hissy-fit and meandering, and it began to lose me. I'll give it another try, though.
Huff is a whole different adventure. I'll watch anything with Oliver Platt - I think he's brilliant. I got great hopes for that show.
Know what else I really enjoy? Dead Like Me on Showtime. Interesting what that's become. A really smart, thoughtful, though-provoking series.

9. I think The Sopranos should have stopped atleast at season three |
|
definitely by season four. The whole thing with Adrianna and the divorced were just as soap opera-ish as any storyline on Six Feet Under, IMHO. The Sopranos is still one of the best shows on TV but has never been as good as the first season. This season of Six Feet Under has been as good as any of the previous seasons.

12. I can't compare them - they're too different |
|
But I have a feeling this long hiatus of The Sopranos will turn out to be good for the tired old storylines that really dragged down what I think was the single best TV show ever.
It was never meant to be a series, don't forget. It was written and sold as a TV movie, that was all. It's pretty amazing what it's become. I'm looking forward to seeing the new stuff.

and they are both dramas with SFU containing a great deal of dark humor.
I also hope this extended hiatus reinvigorated the writers for The Sopranos because I want to be entertained by every show I choose to watch.
I thought it was meant to be three or four seasons, I wasn't aware it was meant to be a tv movie. I am anxiously anticipating the new season but would much rather have more Six Feet Under.

"More life." And really, what needs more life than a live-in funeral home?
