2. The show ends by showing a flash-forward to the natural

end of all the main character's lives.

It showed characters aging, and the progression of their lives.

It was beautifully artistic, with cuts back and forth between Claire leaving CA and driving to NY on a desert highway, and the future deaths of the main characters.
