26. As soon as it ended, I had to get on the computer and |
|
find a thread or threads discussing it, as my husband doesn't watch it and I had no one to talk about it with. Thanks again, DU, for giving me someone to talk to when I need to.

The whole theme of the show was death. So the ending was absolutely perfect.

"fill in the blank" with our own name before the credits rolled.
Or so it seemed to me.

Actually I'm amazed that no one else ever thought of an ending like the one they did, since it addresses what a lot of people think when a show ends.
*edit* removing possible west-coast spoilers...sorry folks!

There were things that I've heard in my own life written into this. Only three very small spots seemed jarring, but they had to expedite things and the rest was so breathtaking, I forgot about them after they happened.
Did anyone catch the "TV" jokes? When Kieth and David were "doing what they did", the boys were watching "Fairly Odd Parents". And when Ruth was going deep into her "thing" She was watching "Just Shoot Me."
Edit: took out spoilers.

32. These writers are geniuses! |
|
they ended this wonderful show about life and death exactly as they should have. I loved the flash forwards. So many shows leave you wondering what happens to the characters. I still cannot get over how amazing this ending was. Emmy's and Golden Globe better do the right thing. I think Claire was amazing this season. Her work deserves an award.
I will miss this show tremendously...
