An old psych game
Before I post the game, a warning right off the bat: DO NOT READ the bottom part of the post until you have completed the top part. If you do, it's not going to be as much fun for you. And no, this isn't about a kangaroo in Denmark! This psych quiz has been around for at least thirty years now, long before the internets--er, internet. So grab a pen and scrap paper and follow the directions.

----
1.First, name your favorite color.

2. Now think of three adjectives to describe why that is your favorite color.

3. Name your favorite animal.

4. Now think of three adjectives to describe why that is your favorite animal.

5. Name a body of water.

6. Name three adjectives to describe it.

7. Imagine yourself waking up in a white room. All the walls are white and there are no windows or doors. In three words, describe how that room feels to you.

Okay, you are done. Have you written down your answers somewhere? If not, do it now, and don't read any further until you have done so. When you read the interpretation, post to see how accurate you were!!

The first question, those three words that describe the color, those represent how you see yourself.

The second question, the three words that describe the animal, those words represent how you see someone to whom you are attracted.

The third question, the three words that describe the body of water, those represent your feelings about relationships.

The last question, the three words that describe the white room, those represent your feelings about death.

Now, everyone, post your results!

1. OK. Here's what I got. I guess they are somewhat accurate.
According to the test:

I see myself as calm, soothing, and relaxing. That's a little bit accurate.

I'm attracted to people who are friendly, loyal, and cuddly. Definitely friendly and loyal. Not so much cuddly.

I like relationships that are deep, wide, and fun. I don't know how a relationship can be wide, but I'll go for deep and fun.

I feel weird as hell about death. I guess that's pretty accurate.

2. What's funny is years ago
when I first answered the questions, my answers to the favorite pet (cat, in my case!) fit the bill a little too uncomfortably. One of my answers was "photogenic." Yes, I like them to be good photography subjects (I'm a photographer after all and I do like to take pictures of them) that's why I get such crushes on actors!

3. I just thought of something
according to this I'd rather cuddle with a dog than a human partner. I must be some kind of sicko. :)

8. Nope!
I'd rather be with my cats most of the time over a lot of humans as well. They don't talk back, they love you no matter what you look like, and they give love and head butts for a little food, water and a bed to sleep on. :)

4. the others were just plain oddball answers.
my white room answers were bleak, blinding and isolated. Interesting that would correspond w/ death.

6. I'm grassy and attracted to furry people. I feel brown about relationships
but I find death bright and confining.

Okay, some of my other answers could have applied if I stretched for a connection, but still...

(and, yes, the body of water that comes to mind is very brown. I love my brown river :))

In truth, I regard death more as a room where the windows and doors are all there and open, so the room described in the quiz wouldn't have suited my ideas anyway.

Still, a fun time-killer :P

7. First 2 make more sense than the last
1) Natural, welcoming, healthy (green)

2) Sleek, skillful, athletic (cat)

3) Small, southern, communal (Smith Mtn Lake, Virginia)

4) Clinical, clean, barren

I think the last question betrays as much about the formulator's preconceptions of death as it does the respondent's. Why liken death to a white room w/out any openings? Probably because that's the way most Westerners conventionally regard it. Interesting. :D

10. Pretty accurate - apart from the death bit
It claims that I see death as empty, boring and pointless.

The other stuff was pretty accurate.
