We bought it mostly to play DVDs and tapes. I have no problem with either of those functions, I just have never figured out the taping function. If I do figure it out, Mr. cmd will have me taping every football game that is played. Somethings are better left alone. ;)

i just remembered one of the easiest problems to solve: set the clock on it. If it's not set, will not tape.

When the family decided to gift us with a DVD, I really never figured out how to connect it to our rather ancient VCR. I will spend a day or two trying to one of these days. I really have a bunch of tapes I miss not being able to play.
