What runs around honking, clanging, ringing and screeching in German?
Strangest German people EVER at the North American Sieger shindig last weekend in Statesville. These people may be slightly too much into their dogs. There was a guy with a bucket walking around who charges $800 minimum for bathing yer German Shephard. And people running around with noisemakers and leather chew toys, yelling at the dogs. And there was one guy who just about stroked out, standing there bellowing some concentration-camp-sounding "encouragement" to a dog a full soccer field's length away from him. And there was the story about the guy who owned half a stud that he bought for $100K, and the other half wasn't even for sale. Dunno if he got front or back, right or left side. Weird.

That's some fucked up shit right there, man. Real fucked up. But I'm sure they're very nice people.

6. We were there
briefly, on the last day of the event. We missed the entire "perp takedown" competition, and only got to see the running and shrieking and clanging bowls and honking horns competition. Very odd. I've had my fill of German for a little while. Gimme some nice, soothing Cambodian anyday...

8. Sounds like a fun day...
for the entire family. Take the kiddies and watch the attack dogs bite people on the groin. Maybe pick up a little German while you're there. (At least enough to tell someone to bite the groin anyway.)

7. Ahh... and I thought you were talking about me
but I don't have a dog (and I wasn't to North America this year).

But you have to admit: If you want to scream, German is an excellent language to do so.

But I have to agree: some people take their pets way too serious.

11. Speaking of "taking too seriously"
We were there because my sis (who lives in Dallas, btw Velma...;)) and hubby had 2 dogs in the show. They paid some asinine amount for them which I won't reveal on the grounds that a) it's tacky and b) it's ridiculous and c) see a and b. :eyes:

As for the erm...*exuberant* Germans, I'm sure they're a fine people but, CHRIST are they scary...:scared:

For my money though, the *Best in Show* award goes to the 8 month old pug that was walking around in a jeweled and beaded collar like she owned the place. The shepards were looking at her like she'd make a tasty chew toy, and she just wiggled her little bottom at them like "Pffft, I'm WAY cuter than YOU!" :P :D
