The first movie to be filmed in Iraq since Saddam's overthrow is currently in production. The Bush administration says the film could be
another glowing example of the freedoms the Iraqi people now enjoy, unless it happens to say something unflattering about Ronald Reagan....
Yes, Republicans, you won't have the Reagan movie to kick around anymore. CBS has pulled the controversial docu-drama from its fall
sweeps line-up and thrown it into the Viacom dumpster known as Showtime. Cinemax also made a play for the movie, but only if they could re-
title it, "White House Diaries 3: Full Exposure." ...But the Reagan movie wasn't the only casualty. CBS also agreed to cancel the sitcom,
"Two and a Half Men" after a couple old Republicans in a barbershop thought it looked "kind of gay."...

Did everyone "Rock the Vote" this week? For those who don't know, this is the MTV-sponsored debate where candidates get to let their hair
down - or in Al Sharpton's case, forget to brush it for a day. And what better way for a candidate to spend an evening than discussing
their drug histories and party fantasies with a bunch of kids who aren't going to vote anyway? ...The debate made news because it forced
Howard Dean to apologize for saying he wanted to be "the candidate for guys with Confederate flags in their pickup trucks." And it worked,
too. Today, Dean went back to being the candidate for guys with "Free Tibet" stickers on their Subarus....

Wesley Clark made an interesting admission this week--Clark said his father was Jewish, but he was raised Baptist, became a Catholic and
now attends a Presbyterian church. Wow! I don't know if he's going to win the Democratic nomination, but he's in great shape for the
Unitarian. ... But it's great to see how far we've come from the paranoia about John F. Kennedy's religious beliefs back in the '60s. Most
people simply accept the General's diverse religious past. But not everybody. Today, General Boykin accused Clark of trying to mess with
Jesus....

In an interview with Diane Sawyer, Jessica Lynch says she's upset with the way the Pentagon embellished the story of her rescue for public
relations purposes. Now the neocons are furious at her for ruining the script. After all, with all the bad news coming from Iraq, this was
supposed to be the week Jessica fell down a well....

According to a national poll, most Americans are unable to identify even a single department in the United States Cabinet. Even worse, 73
percent said Mel Martinez should have been pulled by Grady Little.... Thankfully, there was some good news. Just about everyone correctly
identified John Ashcroft as the man who haunts their dreams.... This poll comes from the same firm that last year revealed that 64 percent
of Americans could not name any of the Justices on the United States Supreme Court. But before we lay this all on the people, they're not
the only ones who lack knowledge. Back in June, 8 of those 9 Justices needed a puppet presentation to explain what sodomy was...

Jay Jaroch is a writer for HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher."
