Is it possible to ship a package containing wine? |
|
It seems the post office and UPS won't ship a package with any alcohol in it. Is that now illegal? Or is there a company that will send it for me?

1. I do it a lot. Just don't tell them what's in it, and wrap it up nicely. |
|
so that its snug and won't break.

5. home brewers have this problem with competitions |
|
Do not use the post office. UPS is a bit more lenient if there is a problem. Wrap it well with bubble wrap and put foam peanuts in the box and you should be OK. Tell them its yeast samples or some such nonsense.

9. The local UPS office told me no alcohol of any kind. |
|
But she said it was a policy, not a law. It's wrapped really well. I just need someone to take it for me!LOL! I'll lie if I don't find someone... uh, it's spaghetti sauce, yeah, that's the ticket!

7. Send it via FedEx Ground..... |
|
Make sure it is PROPERLY wrapped to avoid breaking.
Put a sticker (you can print it on your own Avery label address stickers): SAMPLES ENCLOSED: NO COMMERCIAL VALUE / NOT INTENDED FOR RESALE.
Tell the FedEx folks it contains wine and ask them to put a sticker on it which says it cannot be signed for by anyone under 21 years of age.
I've done this many, many times.
