Just got my replacement remote control for my CD changer. Sony...

and it doesnt work!!! Shit! I paid $35.00 for it, waited 10 days for shipping, put new batteries in it and NOTHING!
There were no set-up instructions at all. I called the company I got it from and they refused to admit that they sell defective products, but after complaining, they said that they would send me another one. When I get the new one I'm to mail back the old one, then my credit card will be credited.
Does anyone know if there are set-up instructions for replacement remotes.
I have Sony CDP-CX335, Mega Storage CD changer. It hold 300 CD's and a universal remote just wont work with all the features.
