1. Is this left over from the
"Ban Tie Dyes and Hippies" Thread? :D

I had a hard learning curve but really happy to come out on the other side of that!

4. Better at some things, worse at others.
It's a trade off. You really do get smarter, wiser, calmer, and more realistic, but you may as well give up on running the 1/4 mile in record time, and as the years go on, you really hae to give up lots of that physical sport stuff.

Of course, it depends on just how old you're talking about, huh?

15. Yea really but there really is a time and a place for everything
under the sun.....

That is one thing the bible really got right...

I think a sense of maturity is to realize what time you are in and what it is that can be done....

I think it's time we set an example for the next generation and then let them be.....

5. Mentally yes
definitely agree. But these days a good rally can really cause back pain. Last time around that was a bit easier.

6. HELL YES
After all the shit I've been through in the last 3.5 months, I definately have to agree with that statement.

I feel better at 36 than I did at 26-- mentally and physically. It's like two tons have been lifted from my shoulders (well, actually it was a 160lb weight, but who's counting).

And I STILL get mistaken for being in my late 20s, too. Can't beat that.

11. I'm 50/50
We're living in incredibly interesting times right now, and I'm glad I'm here to see it, however it turns out.

I'm older, but I'm also wiser, so it's trade-off to a degree I guess. Although I'm still in relatively good shape, I need to get in better shape; I don't want to be too old to be active when I hit the big 5-0 several years down the line..

And this time I'm working out for the health and not the cut so it's more fun.....

Thanks again... Dude.

17. I think you're onto something, my dear WC.....
Of course, intellectually, I know I'm getting older....this is the cold, hard fact of the matter...

But I don't feel older at all...I'm more fit, and a little less plump...

And I know I know more as well...about life, people and that sort of thing...

Hopefully I have many more years, and hopefully those years will rest lightly on me...

As they have so far...

I have much to do with my life still...

Great thread...

 :loveya:

18. Don't think of it as growing older . . .
Think of it as building seniority!

Also, "I was so much older then; I'm younger than that now." (Props to Mr. Dylan.)
