How many agree with the statement... I'm not getting older
"I'm getting decrepit."

It can happen to anyone; not always at old age either.

1. I'm not getting older. I'm getting more dangerous.
Knowledge, experience, and wisdom make me a force to be reckoned with.

5. That really doesn't say anything, since everyone is dying

Do you mean dead or terminal ?

10. That is my husband. He is only 28 and you
Edited on Wed Aug-24-05 08:41 AM by Shell Beau
would think that he is 85. He has sciatica which causes him terrible hip pain, his back always hurts, his bones crack all the damn time. I can't imagine what he will really be like at 85. He has a physical job (landscapes)which I am sure doesn't help much.

12. Get him to a physical therapist quick!
His job isn't helping him any, but there is probably an underlying problem causing the sciatica. Since sciatica is just a pinched sciatic nerve, it's important to find where and how it's being pinched and work on the problem area. He may need exercises to strengthen something or stretches and massage to relax something else.

I have sciatica on the left caused by crossing my legs right over left for years making the muscles and tendons on my left side just a bit shorter than the right. Yoga is a big help. The stretching keeps my muscles from shortening and binding up around the nerve. I have to do it for the rest of my life probably - or maybe just until I retire and no longer sit behind a desk all day.

15. He needs to see a PT. He has had X-rays, MRI's and all
that good stuff. The doc has given him anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxers. But the anti-inflammatory medicine is filtered through the kidney and last summer while working in this unbelievable heat, he got severely dehydrated and had to be hospitalized for 3 days. The doc says the medicine played a huge part. He told my hubby to see a PT, but he has yet to actually go see one.

11. For 3 years I thought I was dying a slow death
Then I started working out a few months ago and doing yoga. I still feel like an old fuck, but at least if I croak young, I'll be in shape.
