A question for Simpsons fans |
|
Because I'm regularly in awe of the collected cartoon knowledge here.
There's that Simpsons episode where they go to Australia. Bart gets into a confrontation with an Aussie guy that goes something like this:
Australian Guy: That's not a knife, mate; this is a knife! Bart: That's a spoon! Australian Guy: I see you've played "knifey-spooney" before.
My question: what the hell is "knifey-spooney"? Is it an actual game? Or something they made up for the show?
I gotta know, I just gotta.

I would think that's more of a question for Autralia fans. Or possibly Australians themselves. :P

4. it's a joke on Australian gambling games |
|
The Aussies have a tradition of rather simple gambling games - like throwing three coins up in the air and betting on whether it's three heads, two heads one tail, two tails one head, or all tails.

That's the way of things there.
"So I'm coming into Australia, just off the plane, and at customs they ask me, 'Are you a criminal?' So I says to them, 'I didn't know it was still required.'"
