For those of you who workout with weight machines - a question.... |
|
Do you workout every day - concentrate on either upper or lower torso on a given day? Do any cardio along with the weight machines? I'm just beginning to use them at my gym. Am doing this as a 'gringo', so any advice is gratefully accepted.
Thanks

1. That's a good way to do it |

I like doing 1/2 hr cardio daily with one day off/wk. Easy to overtrain--if your muscles feel "heavy" give it a day off.

I've been doing the weight machines (so far only for the arms) and then go over to the treadmill and do 35 - 45 min. Took today off from the gym but am going out walking tonight instead.

you may want to do a full body workout, starting from largest muscles (Legs) down to smallest (abs) 3 days a week (M-W-F for example). As your body gets more used to the weights, then you can get more specific...try working each body part twice a week. Maybe, say M-Thu do Chest, back, biceps, abs...Tue-Fri do Legs, shoulders, triceps, abs,, Wed rest or do cardio...
