|
Holy crap. Puuhhhh :puke:
I screwied my knee up again, and the doc prescribed me this pack of 6 days of ickiness.
Damn. Most pills now don't have a taste once you rinse 'em down.
This is some god awful tasting shit.

I am supposed to take 6 today, 5 then next, then 4 and so on.
I am not sure if it is new, first I have taken it.

... version isn't likely to give anyone moon face. It starts with a pretty high dose and trails off to nothing in 6 days.
When I get poison ivy, this stuff is the only thing that will stop the chain-reaction inflammation. Sure, it sucks, but it is very, very effective at dealing with inflammation problems.

16. People taking large... |
|
...doses of these kinds of corticosteroids often retain lots of water and hence get a case of "moon face".
That little dose you are taking isn't likely to be a problem. :)

I will never forget how gross that was. They had mixed it with ginger ale at the hospital, and the very memory of it makes me queasy. You have to drink SO MUCH of it.

22. Prednisone does taste horrid |
|
I've been taking it the past few days to end an episode of Status Migrainous. I made the mistake of popping a pill into my mouth and putting the bottle away before washing the pill down with water. Some of it had dissolved on my tongue by the time I washed it down x( . I won't be making that mistake again.

So, you have a migraine that won't go away? That sucks. They are bad enough just getting them for a day or two. I hope the medicine helps.
Bad as it tastes, my knee feels much better, and the swelling has gone down a great deal. I was feeling sort of weird today, though. At least, weirder than usual.

|
This is my first time using the Prednisone but it works like a charm. I'd had the migraine steady for nearly four days, then I took the first dose and in less than an hour the pain was gone. I've not had any ill effects and I'm into the taper down already.

I started them when I was six. A couple of years ago, I went through a really bad spell with them, where I was getting about 5 a month, and that "scotoma" in my vision didn't want to go away for a while. The neurologist prescribed me Verapamil to prevent them, and that has done pretty well. I think I have had maybe 5 this year now.
Glad the medicine wiped yours out! You must be relieved.

25. I take it as fast as possible......... |
|
and it still leaves a FOUL tase. I can't imagine delaying it at all! That being said, I'd kill for the stuff if I had to the next time I get poison ivy. It's the only thing that saved me from itching-blistering-oozing-induced insanity.

A dull headache, and the only way I can put it is that I feel like lazily bouncing off the walls. LOL. I am a calm hyper.
They surely taste icky.
