an ex of mine had this really great flat black brim hat he used to wear onstage.

Every once in awhile, he'd announce a song (once he even dedicated one to me!), and when he did, he'd tip the hat to me and wink and raise his eyebrow, and it would make me all melty inside.

I think that was the first time I'd really felt GORGEOUS! That he was acknowledging me like that in front of everyone.
