All the talk of anti-war songs tonight made me think of Marvin Gaye and his classic album, "What's Going On". Motown didn't want him to make it, but he did anyway, and it's still his greatest achievement IMO. It was not only about the war in Viet Nam, but the war here in the US, too in the inner cities and almong ourselves and the government. The title track is pure, funky, and powerful...
