Why wouldn't I? I have a perfect hubby who makes me laugh everyday. I love my job and my coworkers make me laugh and give me wacky nicknames. Everyone is healthy. I finally not in debt up to my eyeballs.
Makes you sick, doesn't it? This is just a friendly reminder to those going through tough times. Seven years ago I tried to kill myself, ended up in the psych ward, declared bankruptcy and was as down and out as you can get. So, just like my Grandma said seven years ago, everything happens for a reason. I didn't believe her then...but maybe she is on to something.
When people post about what they or their families are going through, I hate that all I can do is say is that's too bad and give them a hug. ...So I'm going to be as annoying as my Grandma was 7 years ago...everything happens for a reason.
That's all...

1. I'm very happy that you're happy. |
|
I've had the very great pleasure of meeting both of you. And you are the perfect couple. Seriously. It's a mystery how love works. But when it does, it's a glorious thing to behold.
I didn't know about the heartache you went through. I'm so sorry to hear that. I've been through some tough times, myself. I wondered why "bad things happen to good people". I just didn't understand why me and my family and friends would seemingly go through bad things in their lives that they didn't deserve. But perhaps you and your Grandma are right...things happen for a reason.
Thank you for a lovely post. And here's a hug for you and your guy. :-)

Deliriously happy on this end, as well - after a long time of, well, NOT being deliriously happy. Not by a long shot.
Enjoy, darlin'!

We have even more in common than we thought!
I've been in that same sitch...financial problems, relationship woes, hating a job, trying to find a way out of a bad situation to get life turned around....and even an OD when I tried to kill myself in 86.
I'm glad we both got our crap together and met Beastman and reprehensor!
Let's be annoying together! :hi: FSC

I would drag my cheap ass out of bed super early to save $50.00. If fact, when I heard you were flying, I immediately started to worry about you paying for parking at the airport. I heard that's taken care of, so I'm better now.

34. Your Grandma is absolutely right |
|
I've waded through a massive river of shit over the last 3.5 months myself. The only thing constant in my life has been my job-- otherwise everything else has changed. Things I never imagined would happen to me did happen, and I'm coming out the other side a much stronger, much healthier, and MUCH happier person.
And I also firmly believe everything does happen for a reason. We'll probably never know why, but they still happen. All we have to do is make the best choices we can and live each day as if it was our last day on earth.

40. Congratulations, but not everyone is as lucky as you . . . . |
|
The very same things happened to me, but I've never recovered. I lost my house and practically everything I owned (and yes, I mean EVERYTHING), my friends, my job, and what little self-respect I had.
Yes, I now have a job and an apartment, but my life is shit and will always be that way.
So congratulations to you, but realize that not everyone shares your joy.

41. Lucky? The woman has been to hell and back and you call her |
|
"lucky?" She's fortunate to have met a wonderful man, but that is because she is a wonderful person, not because she is "lucky."
And as for you, I hope that one day things will be better for you. I'm sorry that you feel your future is bleak. Nothing can break someone's spirit quite like the feeling of hopelessness. Please reach out to someone who can help you. Life is meant to be lived. :(
