What do you do about roaches? |
|
I have tried everything to get rid of them. The place is empty now, so I'm thinking of going all out and fogging.
What's your remedy for getting rid of roaches?

2. We treat outside and inside |
|
We put talstar around the exterior perimeter of the house once every three months. It does a good job. We occasionally get a roach but it usually is dead or awful sick. The stuff is a little expensive and not for over the counter sales in many places.

it slowly dehydrates them to death and when they get it on themselves they rub it on others too. Plus it's cheap.
About every 6 months I do a combination of Boric Acid and Combat Gel (the gel is a deadly food they think is tasty and they take back and share with the colonies). I put boric acid in the corners of cabinets and underneath things like my microwave & computer. It really does work!

22. This is the way to go: Roach Prufe (available at Ace Hardware) |
|
Boric acid gets on 'em and they carry it back to the nest. Then it kills 'em all dead.

Here is what you need to do. Get rid of the ones in your house some how. I used to try and "capture" them then set them free, but they were too numerous, so i just started smashing them.(bad karma but what are you gonna do? Hawaii, they were all over the place) Once they are out of the house go and get some boric acid powder and go into the sublevel of your house(basement, crawl space, whatever) line the boric acid powder up everywhere there is a crack or any place that has contact with the ground. Seriously put it everywhere the foundation of the house meets the ground. That will take care of it for at least a month or two. Then just repeat. that shit gets into their lungs and wipes them out quick. I saw a noticeable difference. You have to be willing to go Agent Orange on their asses though.

They really hate that! They think we are the filthiest animals on the planet. And will go to any lengths to stop us touching them.... including going away.
Trust me, it works :)

|
There's at least a hundred of them living around and in the house. No ants of any kind, no roaches, not much bugs of any kind. And they're all big and fat.

21. Well...first I give them all names like George, Rummy, Cheney, |
|
Rove, Andrew, Rush, Sean, Karen, Barbara, Condi etc. And then I stamp on them with all my might and flatten them into a brown crusty yellow green MUSH! Yep, that'll get rid of them and I'll feel better too. A bit messy to clean up...but the stress release is worth it.

I go through a couple of cans of that during the summer. After using that, the only roaches I see are dead one. And as another poster suggested, Super Combat is also excellent.
