I know it's stupid, but I'm still sad about it
I found out there were going to be dog obedience trials in my area and called to get myself and Belle Starr entered. Turns out they won't let her compete because she's not AKC. It ain't her fault she was born a mutt.

1. That's crap
Who's putting on this obedience training? I know plenty of obedience trials here in Austin don't require AKC papers.

That is one relaxed dog.

6. A local club - they are affiliated with the AKC
I guess I should have known. I didn't realize they also required AKC registration for obedience.

2. OMG! How absolutely precious!
So the snobs won't let her in, eh? I hate that they do that. You'd think dog lovers would love all dogs and realize its not the dogs fault where they are from.

3. I hate that about many dog shows and obedience trials.
Especially obedience trials. Mutts are just as good as pure bred dogs (many times they are better!). My mutts would not do well in obedience trials. They like to do their own thing.

Belle Starr looks so cute on that laundry basket.

8. That's what Mr. CornField told me when he came home
I proceeded to cry on his shoulder and he said, "The bastards are just scared she'd show them up!" :) What a good man.

4. Doggy discrimination
That's an adorable picture, by the way.

Yeah, that's so stupid - what the hell difference does it make in obedience? It's not like they're being judged on conformation. Dumb. You and Belle don't need those muttophobes anyway!

9. Thanks!
I love that photograph. The laundry basket remains her favorite sleeping spot.

I'm going to look around for some other activities she and I can do. I know there is at least one fly-ball group that doesn't discriminate.

5. You tell those stuck-up punks . . .
. . . that the Floogeldy man is gonna sneak over and lace the trials area with sneezing powder if they don't change their fuckin' ways.

12. You don't need them.
She if far superior to any of their fancy pants (or is that coats) canines.

Look at that photo, she is smart enough to find a comfortable place to nap, as opposed to some pallet on the cold floor that those "pure breeds" would settle for.

Don't let them get to you. She is beautiful and too good for them.

13. They just don't want the word
to get out that mutts are more intelligent the pure breeds.
