Teenagers and 20 something DUers just rock in my book |
|
To all of the teenagers and 20 somethings on DU...you just rock.I am just so proud of you! Come on introduce yourself....Tell us why you became a Democrat. You have the power to decide who we put in the White House in 2008. Tell us your issues and why you chose the Democratic party.

1. Born into a Dem family. |
|
My mother's side of the family actually worked on both Kennedy campaigns in Kentucky.
How could I not be Democrat? I have a heart and an education.

3. I suppose I've always been the liberal in my family |
|
but it was the 2000 election that really got me into politics. The theft in Florida made me a Democrat at the ripe old age of 16 and I've only gotten more politically active as I've gotten older

5. Im a 16 Year old Democrat |
|
The reason I am a Democrat is not because of my heritage or anything like that. It mostly has to do with my relation to the issues and the fact that supporting the Democratic principles is a common sense thing to do.
I have met John edwards and John Kerry and I am involved in both Democratic campaigns for Ohio's Governor (Strickland and Coleman)Right now my brother and myself and His girlfriend are searching frantically for a way to the DC Rally on Sep 24.
If we go it will be my first time in DC.

6. Always leaned towards DEM |
|
but actually switched from an INDY to a DEM just a few years ago when John Rowland was re-elected Governor of CT. I just couldn't stand him and the fact that people kept putting him in office so I decided to register as a DEM. It should've happened sooner, like after the selection of 2000 but better late than never I guess.

I have two very liberal Democratic teenagers. They told me that the main reason they are Democrats is because of the 'kindness" shown by the Democrats they have met. They feel that "kindness" is the pillar of the Democratic party.
