1. W is destroying our military, one step at a time

Our National Guards were meant for internal use. Our volunteer military is deeply hurting for recruits. Applications to our military institutions are at a record level low.

Our CIC has lost the respect of being any type of a military leader.

2. How could they lose respect

for a drunken, coke-addled, prissy, cowardly deserter who couldn't name one single casualty of Operation I'm A War President, and who thinks dressing up in a jump suit makes him a soldier?

4. Bush and the GOP outsmarted themselves.

Think about how many people they trashed politically and militarily because they were Democrats. Think about this for a moment.

(1) Ann Coulter looked at a maimed serviceman and said he was the reason we lost Vietnam. Did the media make a stink about that? Nope.

(2) They targeted Max Cleland, a bronze & silver star decorated soldier.

(3) They belittled Gore's service record.

(4) And look what they did to Kerry. Do you think for one minute that all those recalls of purple hearts wasn't a calculated attempt to belittle Kerry's purple heart?

(5) And using our national guard, instead of professional soldiers,on the frontline is yet another Rovian ploy to make Bush's stint in the national guard look more military.

(6) Bush treats our soldiers as if they're disposable units. Not only does he fail to protect them on the front lines, but he disrespects them by not honoring the dead when he hides them from the cameras. And look what he's doing to the medical care for veterans.

What has happened to this country, where a president, who never served and who went AWOL from the national guard, can show this much disregard for human life and disrespect for those who did serve, and still be considered a moral man?

Sweetheart, who wants to join an organization who follows him blindly and will most certainly get you killed?

Or is he disillusioned because the war is based entirely on lies, has zero moral or legal justification and has caused unfathomable carnage and heartache to befall the hapless Iraqis?
