What's your favorite movie of all time?
For me, it's a tossup between "Goodfellas" and the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

15. The Commitments...
There is something about that movie...the music, the dialogue, the characters. Whenever I am in a shitty mood, I put this movie on and all is right with the world.

22. In high school I loved that movie...
I thought his incestuous relationship with his sister was so damn romantic.

Pity old Bob had to recut it and add in all the bad sex scenes. If he'd just left Brass and Vidal alone it would have been gorgeous. But, no, he wanted to make a serious movie filled with explicit sex....

Nice try, but no cigar.

(Actually, it did produce one of my fave behind the scenes moments - when the director yelled at a Penthouse Pet "If you can't piss on cue you'll never be an actress!" LOL!)

Khash.

21. After Hours
It's so strange and incomprehensible. Sick and funny and beautiful and hurtful. After I first saw it I sat down and wrote damn near a dissertation on it. I spent six months thinking and analyzing and just breathless because of it.

It's just a quirky story of a man who goes to meet a woman for casual sex. But she's weird and a little scary so he decides to go home. Only no matter how hard he tries he can't get home. But there are so many layered meanings to it and many themes.... robbery, desecration, scary sex, fear of homosexuality, The Wizard of Oz, time, loneliness, depending upon the kindness of strangers .... much much more.

Scorsese is a genius.

Khash.
