My cat plays like a 3yr old child.
Edited on Fri Aug-26-05 04:08 PM by caty
I was watching Bogie playing with one of his favorite puff ball toys this afternoon. I was amazed at how well planned his play was. He put the puff ball on the floor and then laid down on it. He stayed there for a few moments and then jumped up, looked at the toy in surprise, and attacked it, as though the puff ball had sneaked up and surprised him. Then he put the toy down on the floor again, laid down so that the toy was by one of his back legs. A few moments later the turned his head quickly and looked at the toy, jumped up again, and attacked it again. Like the puff ball had some bad intentions as far as Bogie was concerned.
He does some weird things. He puts his favorite stuffed shark toy in front of our bedroom door every night--to stand guard I'm guessing. He puts that same toy on his food bowl in the mornings--like he's trying to feed it.
Sometimes I think there is a 3yr. old child hiding inside him somewhere.

2. I have read that cats have the brain power of a 3-year-old child
So I can certainly believe it. (Wish I knew where I read that.)

10. My cat has a new bedtime game
When I shut off the TV, he knows it's bedtime so he runs and hides under the bed. Problem is, he usually leaves part of himself sticking out so I know he is there. I guess he thinks he is hiding if he can't see me. Then as I walk past he pounces on me. Sometimes that hurts.

13. Bogie and Miss Kitty
were chasing each other around the house. There was a cat krinkle bag on the living room floor. Bogie laid down on the bag just behind a wrinkle that was in the bag. He put his head down behind that wrinkle like he thought Miss Kitty wouldn't see him. Miss Kitty came in and sat down and just stared at him. You could almost hear her thinking, "I can't believe he thinks I can't see him there. What an idiot".
