4. Holy cow!!
I had no idea.

So what's this incarnation? Redoing the original or a spinoff premise?

6. Hey, it's a really good show. Hatch is excellent.
These folks are running out of things, and life isn't easy. The Cylons are making a new breed of "toasters" (the derogatory term for the robots) cloned from humans.

Oh yeah: Stabuck is a woman!

14. Hatch acts his a$$ off on this show. Who knew he had it in him?
Richard Hatch is absolutely top-notch on this show. I have not seen any of the second-season episodes, but I watched the first season and have to admit that Hatch and his character (Tom Zarek, a terrorist/freedom fighter, depending on your perspective) was my favorite of the whole series. He has a "gravitas" that only Olmos can match. I didn't know he had that kind of talent, but color me very pleasantly surprised.

I remember Hatch being very upset that Universal was totally retooling BSG, and that they weren't going back to the old concepts (although they did keep a lot, e.g., the Vipers), but I heard that he became interested in this version when he talked with the producers and found out they were doing many of the types of stories that he wanted to do on the original series, only the 1970s censors/producers wouldn't allow it. I'm glad he's on board now. He's great. I only hope they can bring Dirk Benedict and Herb Jefferson in somehow, too.
