Elective surgery!?
My mom just had a piece of her skull replaced, a very long story, but she's been wearing a helmet for about a year and this summer finally had her new bone put in. She got mail today from her insurance company saying they were trying to decided how to bill her, saying that it may be considered elective! WTF! she had no skull! It's not like she got a boob job or something, if she got hit in the head, even a little she would be killed, my God! Fuming!

1. Insurance is legalized racketeering
They will do anything and everything to get out of paying their obligations.

Calling themselves "insurance" companies should be false advertising.
They provide absolutely no insurance. What they do provide is "assurance" that you won't get anywhere near what you need or deserve.

3. Fight it
When you fight them you generally win. They are always hoping to "slip one by" an unaware citizen.

4. God, that's one for the books!
Incredible, isn't it? I would be on the phone to that insurance company and speaking to managers and supervisors - that's just utter bullshit.
