I knew this was going to be screwed up

Last week, when I filed unemployment, the system told me that I only had one week left. I called the other number to get to a human. Since I was unemployed in August of last year (even though I only drew ONE check), the claim stayed open for a year. So, that claim was ending and I was going to have to open up a new one. They told me to call on Monday of this week and they would take care of my one week claim and open a new one. I did this. So, today, I should have had a one week check in the mail. Instead, I had three different envelopes about the new claim, but no check.

I'm sorry that happened to you. I guess no matter where you live the unemployment people are always all screwed up. I always felt they were TRYING to punish me. Will you be OK till Monday?:hug:

Have never had to deal with the unemployment system, but as with any other bureaucracy, no doubt it's a tag-fuck in getting the right people to do the right actions.

It's been a bad week...and this just topped it off. I'm taking my car to Crawford tomorrow, my passenger is paying for the gas. At least my trip isn't cancelled over this.
