6. A bunch of stuff
a blue evil eye protector from Turkey, a veterans forget-me-not, a Mexican skeleton with a sombrero and sarape (Dia de Los Muertos), a de-scented pine tree (in honor of Miller from Repo Man "Find one in every car, you'll see"), a rattlesnake rattle and last but not least a little piece of rawhide with the fur still on, from one of the skills I use in my job.

9. Several strands of fading Mardi Gras beads...
...remembrances of a "Cajun Country" Courir du Mardi Gras in Mamou, Louisiana, and the attendant parades in nearby towns - not that wretched excess in N.O.

N.O. Mardi Gras can be as wild or as tame as you want it, just by your proximity to Bourbon St.

15. That bugs the hell outta me!
I can't stand to drive with something hanging there. I had a friend who had one of those crystal glass doobobs hanging there and it was so terribly distracting. I'd have run off the road fer shure.

19. I don't have anything hanging from my car's rear-view mirror....
I know that a great many people do...

I look around me, and I see all this stuff hanging from there, and I wonder how can they not be distracted by it?

Not my cuppa tea...I don't need distractions when I'm driving....

:hi:

20. a dreamcatcher, and one of those plastic spongy
loofah like things for the shower, but it's pink and in the shape of a fish. No O'Reilly jokes, please! I've had my falafel hanging from the rearview mirror for years!

The other car has a Christmas tree ornament in the shape of a horse, and a string of pink wooden beads.

21. Muslim prayer beads
Seriously. Though I'm completely a-religious. I saw them in a place called The Odyssey in Lubbock, Texas. They sold all sorts of new age stuff and religious paraphenalia from every religion you can think of. I thought the muslim prayer beads were beautiful so I bought 'em.

I've also got a pair of black fuzzy dice my guy best friend brought me back from a trip to Vegas. And a leather cord with a little metal kokopeli charm on it.

23. oh geez, it would knock me out if it hit me.
let's see, a medicine bag (small) a goddess, entrance band to a festival I went to, a peace sign, a pin from the Further Bus, a woven bead pin a friend made me. Look, I've got 160,000 on my VW. It's the juju that keeps it on the road. Just don't ask me what's on the FLOOR!
