Rant: "Veterans" Has THREE Syllables, Not TWO!!!!!

It's pronounced "VET-er-enz" - not "VET-trinz".

I heard it mispronounced several times time morning on the local news and on my local Clear Channel radio station......

I keep hearing people say they need double AA (or whatever)
'bat-rees' and it drives me NUTS!!
