Big, sharp knife + chopping cabbage = big band-aid
So there I was chopping up cabbage for coleslaw, then the knife slipped.... now I'm missing some flesh.

And I have a giant gauze/tape/band-aid thing on my left ring finger, which makes typing verrrrrrrry difficult.

16. It's a nice anatomy lesson
At least until you pass out from the shock. Well, that and the fact that if you've done it at all right a good portion of the blood that is supposed to be on your insides is now on the floor.

8. A little extra protein in the coleslaw only helps.
Years ago I sacrificed a chunk of flesh to the apple pie gods. I didn't bother to mention it to anyone at the time.
