Can anyone help me with a technical computer question? |
|
I just built a system at work and installed Windows XP on it and everything went fine. One of the things I installed was a PCI parallel printer port expansion card, so that the computer now has LPT1, LPT2 and LPT3 ports. One of the requests the user of this computer had was that the LPT ports on the back of the system be labeled as to what LPT port they were. Does anyone know of a way to identify the back panel LPT ports on a computer whether they are 1, 2 or 3? I'd greatly appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

1. Hook something up to each port |

and see what shows up in device manager?

2. Thanks, I thought of that, but we don't have any printers I could use. |
