He's quite small. From the same family as dearly-departed Jack. And is a born puller, with no fear whatsoever of the older dogs.

I've taken more interest in sled dogs lately. Just read some stuff about Balto.

My local parks department is offering a sledding excursion in Feb., in No. Minnesota. I am tempted to sign up, but wonder about (not being able to) sleep in a heated yurt.

There's nothing in the world like it.

A team of dogs doing what they love doing, no matter what it is, is amazing. Sledding is like being along for the hunt, or something. All the dogs who have been yapping like crazy during the set-up suddenly fall silent and don't say another word until you stop. :thumbsup:

And I was steeling myself NOT to just to be contrary. He's beautiful and has great, intelligent looking eyes. I always thought it would be fun to have sled dogs. Neat.
