DU Radio Broadcasters/Podcasters - How do you find intro/bump music? |
|
I'm thinking about starting a 20-30 minute podcast, updated whenever I feel like throwing something out there. Now, I'm a total amateur, but I think I have most of the basics down. I've been listening to a lot of really good podcasters, I know a bit about the technological aspect (or at least enough that I feel I can get away with learning "on the job"), I have a place where I can get good podsafe music. The thing that's been on my mind is how I'm going to be able to lead into and exit the show - just starting seems a bit "unprofessional", but I don't know where or how I can find good music for this purpose. Any ideas?

4. My hands are a little tied by "podsafe" restrictions |
|
Basically, I can't use anything I'm not given permission to play, whether directly from the artist or through a website or network that gives permission for all music on the website or network.
I'll check out the site, though. :hi:

Everything on butcheredbeats.com is my work, although its not that good. Feel free to use whatever if you wish :)
Do you DJ on a station? I just got a show and I'm podcasting without many cares at the moment. Hopefully I won't get sued..

This podcast will be my first attempt at doing anything that might get heard since being a part of team that did the school news on closed-circuit television, in my freshman year in high school. I was the semi-official sports guy. :)
That was almost eight years ago now, I believe. (Holy crap, I'm getting old.)

7. Hahaha, thats about where I'm at. |

HS Freshman year was ~8 years ago for me too. But try saying you're old to all those people in GD claiming that this is 1968 repeating all over again :P
Good luck with your podcast! If you need help with the RSS/XML format let me know.
Cheers.
