By Federal agency actions, like the FCC deciding a month ago that it will be illegal to offer citizens the capability to record HDTV programs, even if the citizens have the legal right to.

BOYCOTT THE FUCKERS.

Don't forget, the FCC wants HDTV to be mandatory for everybody by 2006.

These bastards have lost my business, and not in 2006. And I currently own over 200 DVDs and 2 DVD players.

4. Yeah, but, but, but....
Someone might sell a home made HDTV recording to one of their friends and the boardroom won't get their cut.

Who cares what we think.
We're not rich enough to do anything about it and they aren't just rich enough yet.

5. This won't last.
The electronics industry needs to move merch, especially TIVOs and DVD recorders. Can't do that if people can't record shows. Expect some intense lobbying.

6. Why buy HDTV if you cannot record and playback as HDTV?
I guess I save my money till later.

Should be a large market in conversion computer/kits.
