If Katrina is moving this slow when it hits, N.O. and the area are in real |
|
trouble.
I hope it weakens, but if it is a Cat 4 moving that slow, I can't imagine how much damage it could cause by wind, let alone how much rain it can dump.
It would end up being worse than Andrew, which moved quickly, but had stronger winds.

All you DUer Saints get out if you can. I used to live there and the uptown area floods after a hard thunderstorm; I can't imagine what this would do.

My mother is gambling in a casino in New Orleans. She is supposed to fly out Sunday afternoon. When she is focused on gambling, she is not serious minded enough, really. I am concerned the flight will be cancelled.
