R.I.P. Piggy.
VOIVOD guitarist Denis "Piggy" D'Amour passed away Friday night (August 26) at approximately 11:45 p.m. due to complications from advanced colon cancer — so advanced that the disease had spread to his liver. D'Amour slipped into a coma Thursday night and died less than 24 hours later in the palliative care unit of a Montreal hospital, surrounded by family and friends. He was 45 years old.

When I was a headbanger, Voivod was always one of my favorites. Even though I'm not a fan of metal these days, I can still appreciate them.

4. I believe so, back in the late 80's.
He underwent an experimental treatment that reduced the tumor to nothing.

Ahh, Canadian healthcare...

5. Yes, it's coming back to me now
They were going to operate, but they had a drug they wanted to try first, though it worked only 99 per cent of the time. Piggy turned out to be that one hundredth person!!!
