Ok testing my first picture now.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y146/texascanyon/moonwalkerwatson.bmp

In case this doesn't work - question: there are 3 long "codes" under the photos I put in the photobucket album which one (or something else entirely?) do I use? I used the bottom one here - labeled Img. Any other instructions?

32. heh thanks
I wonder if I managed to set a record for number of posts to a "help how do I do photos?" thread? I know it must be the longest I have ever generated! Usually they sink pretty fast.

Having some tasty beverages?

16. Because the actual pixel size is small
you pic here is 115 X 160 pixels

I would estimate that my church sign is in the neighborhood of 300x400

21. That would be my guess
You may want to look at your hard drive to see if you have a larger version. Then you can upload it - after you rename it.

19. Ok I think I got it - one more question, though
I think the problem was the Watson/Moonwalker photo was a bmp file - it was scanned from a real photograph and the cowboy picture was from the digital camera.

Or am I wrong and that bmp file should work?

My next question is how to make that image smaller? - I have to slide my view over to see it. Same with the cat picture (and others I have seen)

OH and THANKS everybody for the help!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :applause: :applause: :toast:

Bitmaps won't show.

Bingo, Faye. Bingo thrice over.

Kali, do you want help saving the pic off as a ".jpg" instead of as a ".bmp?"

28. Sorry my connection is really slow
I'm not sure I have that (the bird/horse) on my hard drive anymore because I think I ruined it trying to shrink it or something so I assume I need to send it back to myself?

Sorry to be so irritating, my question was how to shrink the OTHER photo - the cowboy one...

If you have a photo program like photoshop you can resize any photo thats on your hard drive and then save it. (you should name it something different than the original photo). :hi: :loveya:  :pals: :woohoo:

DU only does .gif and .jpg.

Save it in your computer as a .jpg file and upload it to photobucket.

then we can see it
