Introducing Watson (and my first real photo post) - 5 pix and a question
Thanks to everybody who helped unleash a monster!

On preview I see 4 of these are huge and the one that Faye fixed for me is more what I would want. How to fix?

This is Watson, Master of All He Surveys

Watson and Moonwalker (the photo I wanted to post first)

Carnivorous Papagayo

Watson goes for a bike ride, just like the fool in Texas

Watson's "trick" (ding ding ding)

1. Do you have a photo editor on your machine
Edited on Sun Aug-28-05 01:30 AM by KitchenWitch
such as Photoshop, or Paint Shop Pro?

In Photoshop, open the image and click on the Image menu, then click on Image size, and resize it to less than 800x600, be sure the constrain properties box is checked.

Save it - being sure you rename it (you want to keep the high resolution original). Then upload it to photobucket!

2. Not sure if this is what you want, but...
... the free software program Picasa from Google is excellent at changing the size of photos, as well as correcting and enhancing them.

7. ok, the directions are similar to Kitchenwitch's excellent ones,
but instead you:

Double-click on the image in Picasa

Play with the buttons on the "fix", "tuning", or "effect" tabs, if you wish (there's an "undo" button...)

Click "Export" on the bottom of the window, select either 480 pixels or 320, and what folder you want to store the new picture in.

8. aha I think I found it
there is an edit function right above the images in photobucket! I shrank one too much (not sure what happend there) and will try to fix it in a bit, but it was much easier than trying to do it in Paint.
