I just ate moldy food! What do I do?
I decided to have a slice of cake with my afternoon tea, but after eating half of it I discovered it was moldy (It was a new brand of chocolate cake, so I didn't react to the taste.) What do I do? Will I get sick?

12. Actually, I don't think the mold in your fridge,
or in the cupboard in my case, is penicillin. More likely, it's mycotoxins - especially with my luck.

9. I hope so.
I tried to make myself vomit, but I guess there's a reason why I never got bulemia - I cannot vomit on command.

15. Do you think I'll get sick?
If so, would I get sick immediately, or later? I can't remember ever having been seriously food poisoned before, so I don't know.

18. No i'm just kidding.
That just really grosses me out. But everyone has eaten mold spore before. Shoot, probably eaten worse without knowing about it. I wouldn't worry.

13. I doubt you ate enough to make you sick
If you didn't notice till you had eaten half probably means you didn't taste it either, which means you ate little or none of the actual mold. You may have ingested a small amount but you'll be fine. I ate a piece of half moldy bread once and nothing happened

20. I once saw a documentary
on India with an American reporter taking a tour with an Indian guide. They were in the countryside and the guide had warned the reporter to be on the lookout for cobras. The reporter asked the guide what he should do if he was bitten by a cobra. The guide said: "Find a shade tree, sit down, and die like a man".

Just sayin.

21. Barf immediately!
But make sure your toilet is clean first. Once I let my toilet go a bit too long and sure enough I got sick. There was splashback. It was nasty.

24. You should be alright
The same thing happened to me when I was in junior high. The mold was hiding under the frosting so I didn't notice it. It was a light blue- green mold. I felt a little ill, but I think that it was psychological. I think blue green mold is usually asfe. I have heard that there is a type of black mold which is really bad, but I don't think that is the first mold that usually grows on cake.

25. Let us know if you develop any super powers!
Seriously, though, you will probably be fine.

By the way, you should probably take the cake back to where you bought it so no more of the moldy cake gets sold. And don't forget to get a refund!
