A retired nurse was charged Monday with murder after she admitted injecting her husband with enough insulin to kill him and dumping his body in a wooded area near Sauk Village three days later, authorities said. snip
"It's one of the most bizarre homicides I've every been a part of," Hobart Police Chief Brian Snedecor said. snip
When she was sure he was dead, Barbara Joy Garcia rolled her husband's body into a rug in the living room, Houck said.
But she was unable to carry the body to the family's pickup truck. snip
When they succeeded Nov. 2, Barbara Joy Garcia drove the truck to an isolated, wooded area near Sauk Village and tried to roll the body in a pond.
The body was dumped down a hill from where the truck stopped but landed short of the pond.
