2. My husband was saying something similar about the hurricane
Ranting about Bush and his cronies and their arrogance and apparent belief in their own invincibility. He said, "See what their power will do for them now!"

5. Are you kidding? The Bush Criminal Empire loves this shit.
Maybe not so much THIS hurricane, since it seems to have skipped Florida, but how many times has Jeb been able to turn in ridiculously inflated estimates and raid the FEMA budget since his asshole brother's been in the White House.

Drowning a horse might be our best option....

But then again, we're not sailors. that might not work.

Dammit. Where's Steve Reeves when you need him?

8. drowning a horse sounds difficult
leading a horse to water is simple enough, but encouraging the horse to jump into the pool is quite difficult.

9. Your statement is offensive to those of us who...
... refer to Him as Neptune.

Shouldn't religion UNITE us, not divide us?

10. My dear JC, it's not Poseidon.
Nor is it Hercules, nor Zeus, nor the gods of mercury or Mars.

It's Africa.

That's where these hurricanes are formed. Right outside Africa, in the Atlantic.

Now it's ironic that the U.S.'s emissions (and to a lesser extent, the rest of the world) have created drought conditions in Africa. It's partly global warming, but it's part of something else (I forgot the source, maybe fromthewilderness.com.

This has caused many Africans to starve, and created havoc on their continent.

Anyway, it's only fair that Africa sends us a little bad weather now and then.
