or at least your shins.

I was taking photos at our local zoo when I ran into a concrete bench with my shin. I was trying to take a shot of an Andean Condor. Here is the result. My aperture settings are a bit off so my shoe is in perfect focus and my wound isn't but I think you get the idea of how much it swelled up.

3. Not quite but here are some other ones (bandwidth heavy)

Here is a very friendly Emu.

Here is a nice bald eagle that will never fly again. It was hurt somehow and the zoo rescued it.

7. Good pics!
Love that emu, though he looks quite evil. Looks like a dinosaur,in fact. And a mouth like a shovel and scoop. Man.

13. Thanks
I also like the Jackson's Hornbill shot. That bird actually came up the glass and knocked on it as if he were getting my attention. I think that is the female though. The males, I believe, have a colorful bill.

6. OUCH! I'm so sorry about your accident, my dear Maestro....
But I thank you for this pic of your leg...

Looking at it is like having a leg like that for myself...

I almost get the idea of what it would be like to have such a leg, or in a way, to be male...

Weird, I know...but that's me...

Hope you feel better quickly! :loveya: :pals:

you sure do seem to be in a wierd mood tonight. But hey, if you can now empathize a little with opposite sex, then getting this goose egg was well worth it. ;)

15. I can generally empathize with people...
Nurses (even retired ones) are GOOD at that!

I'm not sure about this, but as I get older, I seem to be more able than ever to put myself in someone else's place....

It's almost as though I can become that person...not really, of course, but I can get a sense of what it's like to be that person...a little...

Oh well, I never said I wasn't weird! I'm fun at parties too, you know!

:pals: :toast:

11. Yeah in the 70's I would have been sexy.
But now since the hairless look is in, I guess I need to "Nair" myself. ;) Hey, but if you look closely my ankles are bare. ;)
