2. Drought conditions here

no lawn mowing here. OK it has rained a bit the last couple of weeks, but too little too late.

but we had a few showers (about 2.5 inches for August) and so far its been a two grazing summer. A good summer I could "mow" a couple times a week.

Also I admit I water these two little patches. I don't like lawns but that has been here for probably 70 years or more and I am NOT going to xeriscape by the front door! Its dusty enough around here.
