2. Stephen Colbert did a great bit on this

He went to talk with a professor of feminism at a college, who had a pretty good sense of humor about, "Girls Gone Wild." He also sat down in a room with several college girls, making sure he was as far away as possible from them, in case they went wild. He threw some Mardis Gras beads onto the coffee table in front of them. They didn't react. Later, one of them coughed, and he panicked and ran from the room.

I was bemused.
