My Aunt was Killed in a Car Accident 2 Weeks Ago,now I want Answers
Edited on Mon Aug-29-05 12:43 AM by Corey_Baker04
Two Weekends ago I woke to some startling news. My dad woke me from my bed and told me my aunt Tamara had been killed in a car accident, I was devastated. My aunt was like no ordinary aunt, she was young and ambitious. She had a 5 Year old boy and 9 year old girl, She was only 29.

Beginning investigations showed that alcohol and speed was a factor in which the 1996 Geo Tracker "flipped Violently" ejecting both occupants, my aunt, 29 year old Tamara and another occupant Jacklyn who is also in her mid twenties. What was not clear was who was driving, since both occupants where thrown from the vehicle. When paramedics arrived on the scene the found my aunt unconscious and unresponsive. The tried CPR and shocked her, they even called in car flight who worked on her extensively, but to no avail, it was too late.

The Sheriff's office has not yet released the full report on the accident, and for good reasons. First of all Jacklyn, the other occupant survived, she was released from the hospital the day of my aunts funeral. Jacklyn claims that she does not remember any events of the night and does not know who was driving. Further investigation puts Jacklyn behind the wheel that night.

Now a new and even more tragic turn of events has just recently made its way into the picture. A man has stepped forward now claiming that he was at the bar that night with Tamara and Jacklyn and says that he followed them home to make sure they got home without incident. Details he is releasing so far is that at the bar that night Jacklyn, the presumed driver, was being hit on by a man named "Joe". The person following my aunt and Jacklyn home that night says that he witnessed Tamara pass out in the backseat and Jacklyn take the wheel.

He is also claiming what we fear to be the truth, my aunt and her friend were intentionally run off the road that night. He claims that as he turned the curve he saw a truck swerving violently in the road, he assumed that my aunt and her friend had already turned at their turn to go home. Early rumors that are currently being investigated are that the man that intentionally run them off the road was none other than the man that was hitting on her, whom she declined, Joe. Another piece of evidence also puts Joe behind the wheel, The truck that the man saw that was following them home swerving in the road had the emblem of a home building industry on it,lets call it "fanta"

So while this is all being investigated we go to clean out my aunts house today and I see she has 9 missed calls. I look through her caller Id and I see something horrifying. At 8:14 am on the morning she was killed, she was killed at 3:30 am that morning, caller ID shows a call from the name of the company that the witness claims was the truck he saw potentially run them off the road, "Fanta"

A check with the employer now reveals that the "Joe" that was hitting on her at the bar that morning is employed by "fanta"

Why would he call her house that morning though? To see if she was alright, to see if it was all just a dream, to see if anyone suspected anything?

These questions are tearing me up and I want Answers. Sorry for the rant I have tried to keep this to myself long enough.

5. Hoepfully the police are following up on this
but in the event that you feel they are not, this is a situation where a competent private investigator could be of assistance

6. Well, the police may well do a good and thorough job.... but
if your family can afford it, a good private investigator may prove invaluable to getting the answers you seek. Good ones can supplement the police investigation--not obstruct it. Just a thought. My sincere sympathy to you and your family.

11. Hubby was a traffic homicide investigator
Do you have any pictures of the scene? If not go back and shoot the pavement. It's a start and also take a picture of the bumper of your former aunts vehicle. You're looking for paint transfer. Running off the road or pushed off the road is what you're looking for.

PM me if you need further instructions. I can ask my husband to look at your pictures, He is now retired but he was court appointed in Tampa Bay area of Florida when he worked his wrecks.
