I now own property in a tropical area.
And I didn't move. Tennessee is under a tropical storm warning for the first time ever - at least as far back as the weather people can research. Most of the local school systems are closed for tomorrow and they are giving all the warnings about tying things down, etc. The electric company said they had never gotten a weather warning like this before and have called in the troops for tomorrow. Hooda thunk it?

2. It will be like the worst thunderstorm you've ever seen. Just stay
off the roads. Might want to make sure the flashlight batteries are new and you have water and food available for a couple of days if the lines go down. You really shouldn't have too many problems.

3. I know. I never thought I'd have to worry about tropical storm warnings
here. We're under one until 1pm tomorrow.

4. Drink two Margaritas, play some Jimmy Buffet, and call me in the morning.

5. I just got off the phone with my aunt just north of Jackson, MS
and their power has been off since 2 this afternoon, and they don't know when it will be back on. She lost one tree, and has a ton of limbs in the yard. Still raining.
