I have a breadmaker but since I started working 7 days a week I haven't used it in several years. Eventually I'll pull it out and start using it again if I ever have the time (it takes a good 3+ hours to make a loaf). I'd love to have home made multi-grain bread again.

3. I'm not quite up to making hand made loaves |
|
The machine I got as a gift does it quite nicely. I can have it do everything, or I can have it just make the dough and I can bake it in the oven (if I want a different shaped bread). Alas I'll be sticking to store or bakery loaves for the time being.

I have a breadmaker too although I haven't used it in a long time. I don't know why...just haven't. Don't you just LOVE the smell of bread baking? Heaven on Earth, I tell you!

the old fashioned way. And he also made scones the last time he made French bread. They were scrumptious.

and I'm a purist. None of this bread maker stuff. Definitely from scratch, very therapeutic!

11. I bake fresh bread every week |
|
It's the only bread I eat. I've never used a breadmaker - I enjoy the whole process of creation; kneading, rising, etc. (but then, I quilt by hand, too). My usual bread is a combination using white and wheat flours and oatmeal (sweetened with pure maple syrup) but today, I'm going to bake some cinnamon raisin bread just for a change and because I have a plethora of raisins. Mmmm.....

12. bread is my weakness (Welcome to DU) |

always was. Fresh butter and strawberry jam. I've not made bread in years. It's probably just as well. I have to stay away from carbs but oh my you've made me hungry. it's a good thing I don't have any bread in the house right now.
Welcome to DU !
