Hurricane Diary: "Before the storm" photos.
Disregard date stamp. Still learning this digital camera.
:shrug:

MANY THANKS to NSMA for her help with photobucket and for passing along the "all OK" message.

I'll post actual hurricane pix later and some narrative about how our day went.

CLOSEUP SHUTTERED WINDOWS, DOORS. Sun. Aug. 28
White roof to left is on screened porch damaged by Ivan almost a year ago. Still waiting for contractor to repair.


PIER AND DOCK, NORMAL DAY. Aug. 23.


PIER AND DOCK, MUCH HIGHER THAN NORMAL. WATER AT TOP EDGE OF SEAWALL. About 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28.

8. Scary, but no house damage.
Lots of limbs down and pieces of other folks' docks in yard.
Big cleanup job.

11. Never lost power for long. Lost internet server.
Turns out our routers go through Gulfport.
4' under water yesterday.

And what a pretty place you have there....

But I'm extremely glad that you and the missus are OK...People cannot be replaced...things can....
