When the hell did I get this old? |
|
Took my son and his friends to the local amusement park, and I used to absolutely love rollercoasters. I never got queasy or motion sick on the rides...
The first damn ride I got on, I got queasy and was that way for the rest of my time at the park.
 :grr:

We've all read those tube-tieing stories where the tube unties, and next thing ya know, it's Diaper Genie time!!!
Glad I made you laugh, and not recoil in horror!

An acquaintance of mine (one of my daughter's friend's moms) had this happen to her. Four years ago- 9 years after a tubal ligation(!) with 3 older daughters (ranging from 9-15 at the time), got pregnant. She now has a three year old son as well. It's less than one in a thousand, but occasionally those fallopian tubes (usually they're clamped and/or cauterized) have their own agendas and just grow together. :scared:

nature....
Believe me, it's much more effective to have a King LEar moment than to cry in your Oatmeal that you are eating cause you are afraid of Cholesterol

19. The real problem with crying ... |
|
is that crying makes your eyes get all puffy
but ... you can cry if you want to ...
I've shed a few tears ... but not over aging.

I think having a more balanced offense should help too!

20. Wow. Listen, what was the first name of |
|
an assitant coach for the Vikes in the 70's whose last name was Michaels? He had a sister who lived in TN where I grew up who taught school where I went (elementary & jr. high). He came down to TN for a week just before training camp, and I met him, and he let me wear his NFC championship ring. Was it John Michaels?

Now, Norm Van Brocklin, in my book was a real coach. He was meaner and nastier than Lombardi ever dreamed of being.

Forget the name of it but you stick it behind your ear and it's good for three days against motion sickness. Needs a prescription. I was in my doctor's office last year demanding it so I could ride on roller coasters. I may be old but I refuse to act old:-)

You want to be careful with the scopalamine patch...I asked my ENT doctor about it before my Mediterranean cruise...
He said they work, but after three days, you could start to lose your memory...Of course you wouldn't wear it for more than three days at an amusement park...
But you should still know about it...

I used to be able to ride ALL the rides at the fair. You know the ones...where they take you in a circle inside a circle really, really fast. I had no problems with them. Then, all of a sudden...*KAWHAM!* I turned 18 and got sick on EVERYTHING! I still do...except for...rollercoasters. I can ride those all day without any problems. Strange, I know.
