Halladay wins AL Cy Young Award

No surprise here...

NEW YORK, Nov. 11 — Toronto's Roy Halladay won the American League Cy Young Award on Tuesday, easily beating Chicago's Esteban Loaiza.

Halladay, who won a major league-high 22 games, received 26 first-place votes and two seconds for 136 points in balloting by the Baseball Writers' Association of America.

Halladay gets a $100,000 bonus for winning, Loaiza gets $90,000 for finishing second and Martinez $500,000 for finishing third.

PEDRO DIDN'T GET THE CY YOUNG AGAIN, AND A WHITE GUY DID!!!

This was the claim Pedro made when Barry Zito won last year, even though Zito's team benefited more from Barry's excellent pitching than Pedro's did from Pedro's pitching...

and Manny is too.I'll be a happy Sox fan when both are gone.

As for Halladay...good for him,he deserves it.He had a fantastic year with an average team.
